Dr. Todd Phillips

Co-Founder, Indigenous Engagement & Education Specialist

Dr. Todd Phillips, a proud Gumbaynggirr and Bundjalung man, is a distinguished leader in Indigenous Affairs with over 15 years of experience driving transformative change across education, reconciliation, sustainability and innovation. Holding a PhD in Education and an MBA, Todd has conducted pioneering research focused on dismantling barriers to tertiary education for Indigenous young men. His extensive expertise spans policy development, stakeholder engagement, and the integration of Indigenous perspectives into national programs across government, corporate, and education sectors.

Throughout his career, Dr. Phillips has held senior Indigenous engagement and advisory roles across various industries, including his position as National Indigenous Engagement Manager at KBR Australia. He has also served as the Indigenous and Reconciliation Partnerships Advisor at Lion Australia, where he played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s reconciliation initiatives. Demonstrating his commitment to reconciliation, Todd has been instrumental in advising, authoring, and supporting the development and progression of nearly 30 Reconciliation Action Plans for some of Australia’s most recognisable organisations, solidifying his status as one of the nation’s leading experts in this field.

In addition to his professional roles, Todd contributes his expertise as a member of multiple boards and advisory panels, including the City of Sydney’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Panel. His deep cultural knowledge and strategic leadership continue to shape approaches to Indigenous engagement, fostering stronger relationships between organisations and First Nations communities. Todd is a passionate advocate for ensuring that Indigenous voices, knowledge, and rights are recognised, respected, and embedded across all areas of society.

Grant Maher

Co-Founder, Engineering, Innovation & Indigenous Leadership

Grant Maher is a Chartered Professional Engineer and Fellow of Engineers Australia, bringing extensive expertise in engineering, construction, and Indigenous-led innovation. A proud descendant of the Gumbaynggirr and Biripi nations, he has extensive experience in management level engagement across government, defence, aviation, and commercial sectors. As a founding Director of Jabin Group Pty Ltd, a 100% Indigenous-owned engineering and construction company, the inaugural and current Chair of the Indigenous Engineers Group, current Board director with Engineers Without Borders, and holding Advisory Board engagements with The University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Engineering and It (FEIT) and The GPT Group, Grant is committed to mentoring and supporting the next generation of First Nations engineers and STEM Professionals.
